Boxes of Rice to be distributed to thousands of people in Wakiso District

Pastor Solomon Mwesige, the President Feed the Hungry East Africa and lead Pastor Good News Church, Bulenga has today morning flagged off the door-to-door food distribution to thousands of people in Wakiso District.

Majority of the people in the country cannot afford to buy food during this time of lockdown that was declared by President Yoweri Museveni as a measure to contain the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

“Starting today we are going to reach out as a church and Feed The Hungry to thousands of homes in different places of Wakiso District. We are starting with Wakiso Town Council today after launching this drive at the District, then we will handle other places including Bulenga,” said Pastor Solomon.

A total of hundred(100) tonnes of packed nutritious rice is set to be distributed in various homes within the district.
